Round 5 Sign

Text: In a riotous upwelling of pure joy and color, the faeries come forth from their long wintry sleeps, filling the farm with a different sort of song. The sounds of children of all ages laughing, singing and clapping in happiness.

The colors featured are multiple shades of red, pink and peach combined for a cheerful palette.
The red shades paired with a combination of green is also symbolic of a joyful season (for example: Christmas). The imagery is influenced from an adventure to the fairy festival, more specifically pottery created by Feywood, The Faerie Garden.

I hope the bright, cheerful colors evoke feelings of happiness, love and freedom. Kubiando!

Round 5 Zissou

Sometimes you have to go half way around the world to go full circle.
- Lost in Translation

the color scheme of purple/lavendar and orange portrays a feeling of transition, nostalgia, and mystery. The movie "Lost in Translation" is about 2 people who are in transition in their lives. They are in a strange place, feeling lonely and wanting companionship. During their brief, mysterious encounter they realize that everyone just wants to be found.

Round 5 - rules

Take this Color Quiz
Formal Requirement:
Choose one color to focus on with the next piece. Make sure that your color choice is reflective of its interpreted meaning within the artwork. This does not mean your work must be monochromatic, however utilizing all colors in their relationship sense is a must.
Feel free to explore further to find out color meanings. The quiz is just a fun get ya' going type of start (First time I scored a failing 50% so don't feel bad if scores aren't 100% right from the start :)

Conceptual Requirement:
Utilize your colored elements within the context of a fictional story conveying the same emotional content as their underlying meanings. Make sure to have a brief (VERY brief) statement of story to post with your final piece.

Phew! That was rough, ntrphoto you're definately making up all the rules for the next round. I hope this makes sense and sparks some new creative inspirations for Round 5

Yummy sea creatures! Okay... so time slipped away faster than a slithering sea creature. I am learning more about masking and layering, more keyboard shortcuts, ways to move a little faster... but alas I am a snail. What can I say... bon appetit ... enjoy!

Round 2 Zissou

15 minutes with a splash of gaussian blur, hue saturation colorizing layers and some selective pieces from the previous round. Oh yea and some spicy coloring of Zissou himself... and then since a certain someone spent way over 15 minutes I changed the layout, added some 3D planes, a little sparkle and voila Round 2 is here

Round 2

Ok, better late then never ntrphoto and I have decided to make this rounds creation in only 15 minutes. However, the piece must look dramatically different then the original. Results are in tomorrow, I bet you're itching to get at them right?
